One important aspect of investing that's too often overlooked is Values. 

What are your core values - the nonnegotiable things in life that bring you the most joy & fulfillment? 

We all have things in life that we say are important to us, whether travel, philanthropy, health/fitness, the latest toys, or making family memories. Yet too often there's a disconnect between what we say we value, and how we invest our money.

 Money don't lie, folks. 

If you say you value travel, and yet you save very little towards taking trips, then travel either isn't truly a value, or you need to reallocate your money.
